November 1, 2010 - Band Shakeup
Ok, so here's the scoop. Ghosts Of The Parting has shifted gears and focus. We're now a recording-only band. Why? Because the music represents the effort and vision of our past members and collective writting. In the past, time and schedules became an issue for us to continue as a (weekly) practicing and gigging band. So some people left the band and we replaced them with new people. The writing continued, but not as a "band". And the songs didn't have the same feel as they did in the past. So the idea was to come up with a new band name and write all new music - as a band, that reflected our collective efforts. This new band will have its own new beginning and story. As for the Ghosts, we've now reformed, as a recording-only band - and are ready to record the original songs we started out with .

July 1, 2010 - Jesse Albertson Joins the Ghosts
We're happy to announce that Jesse Albertson has joined the band as our drummer. Jesse and Brad met and jammed back in the fall of 2009. He is a solid player and knows how to give the song what it needs. Definitely one of the guys and fits in nicely with the rest of the band. Welcome aboard Jesse, our lineup is now complete. Time to get on with the music!

June 1, 2010 - Joe Harvey Joins the Ghosts
Joe Harvey has officially joined the band. We're really excited because Joe is a all around great guy and a seasoned player. The chemistry is great when we play and his style is solid. Welcome to the band Joe!

April 1, 2010 - Travis and Josh Leave the Ghosts
Due to work/time constraints, Travis Turner had to step down as our drummer. Josh also faced obstacles with time as well as creative differences. Travis and Josh were founding members of the band and they helped to shape the sound of our first few songs. We wish them all the best.

Aug 21, 2010 - Fall Shows Begin
We have a show on Saturday, September-11-2010 at the Silk Club, located on the lower floor of the Allentown Brew-Works. We're really excited to get out and perform the new material! We'll be playing for approximately 1 hour. Hope to see ya'll out there.

May 4, 2010 - Spring Update
Hey there everyone. As we try to backfill the lineup, the writing of new songs is sill happening. Its moving along really well and the music is just plain awesome! A lot of time is going into the crafting of the songs, the melodies and the tones. Its dark, heavy, energetic and beautifully haunting at times. Once the lineup is complete, we'll begin the recording process. So stay tuned for more...

Apr 19, 2010 - Alan Leaves the Ghosts
In the wake of Travis & Josh leaving the Ghosts, Alan has also decided to leave the band. We wish him the best.

Mar 28, 2010 - (tentative) Bass Player Found.
An old friend - Joe Harvey - has tentatively signed on as our new bass player. Joe and Brad found each other through the local musician ads in the fall of 2009 and hit it off right away. Once Joe finishes up a work commitment and we get to playing (in late May) and hopefully Joe will stay on, as our permanent bassist.

Jan 11, 2010 - 2nd Guitar Player Joins The Ghosts
We're very happy to announce that Alan Wasielewski has joined the band as our second guitar player. Alan is an accomplished player with a great style. He compliments the music really well and is sure to add a creative element to the mix. Welcome to the band Alan! We look forward to making music with you.

Jan 4, 2010 - New EP In The Works
We're currently working on our new EP. This will be the first release from the Ghosts. Writing and recording is moving along steady as we experiment with new tones & technologies. Check out the music page for some audio-previews!

Jan 1, 2010 - Introducing Ghosts Of The Parting
Hello world! We're very happy to introduce ourselves and launch our new website. We've been busy writing and rehearsing since the fall and recently have finished up our website. As time progresses, we'll be updating the site with pictures, music clips, show announcements and videos. Dec 17, 2009 - Singer/Keyboardist Found
We're now complete. We've found a new lead singer/keyboardist who has joined the band. Erik Christ is singer/lyricist with a dynamic singing style. He is also an accomplished pianist who's been playing since he was a child. Erik brings along a great musical element that completes the band. We're really excited and lucky to have with him us!

Nov 20, 2009 - RIP Mike Weiser
One Sunday, November 15th, 2009, Mike Weiser passed away due to health related issues. Brad met Mike in December 2008 when Mike signed on to play drums for Brad's old band. They became fast and close friends in a short time and developed a strong musical bond. His warm personality and shocking sense of humor will be sorely missed by all those who knew him. RIP Mike... my friend.

Oct 1, 2009 - Drummer and Bassist Found
Great news! The rhythm section is now in place. Travis Turner (drums) and Josh Kale (bass) have joined the band. There is great musical and personal chemistry between us. Rehearsals are going great and we're working on new material as well as revamping some oldies.

Sep 1, 2009 - Grinding Along Craig's List Blvd...
As the player-search continues, I've been meeting and playing with some really great players. Met some real strange characters too! In the past, there's been a tendency to jump the gun. Not so, this time around. Although I'm very antsy to get on with things right away, time is on my side. I'm being very patient and choosy until the right people are found and I'll know it when its right. Stay tuned for more...

Aug 22, 2009 - The Ghosts Of The Parting
Been coming up with some new ideas, songs and band names. "Some will die, as life begins" - and in order to grow, you must feed the future and let yesterday die. So, signifying the shedding of the past, The Ghosts Of The Parting is born. Currently, still busy writing new music. More time is being spent on song and chord structure, production and tones. And as always, the player-search continues...

Aug 15, 2009 - Grass Roots, From The Beginning
After recently splitting from an old band, my drummer [Mike Weiser] and I, set out to form a new band. After a few short weeks, (and as luck would have it), Mike is no longer able to commit to being in a band (due to job related circumstances). So I [Brad Jacob] am now a solo act and weighing my options. As fall is quickly approaching, it's now time focus on new and more fulfilling music. I'm going to form a completely new band. There's quite a task that lies ahead. The hunt is on and it's back to the ads I go...
